The Nigerian social media space has been awash with a viral claim that President Muhammadu Buhari is set to marry today, Friday 11 October, 2019.

The claim which is gathering momentum under trending hashtags on Twitter, #BUSA19 & #BUSA2019, stated that the woman the president is said to marry is the new member for the newly crested Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq.

Adeshina debunked the claim, describing it as a deceptive manoeuvre by those who reportedly fabricated it.
