President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, December 17, said that he would not allow anyone to use his name to campaign for votes so as to compromise the 2023 presidential election.

The president said this when he was paid a visit by Secretary to Federal Government (SGF) Boss Mustapha alongside his aides to celebrate the Nigerian leader's 77th birthday.

He promised Nigerians that he will give them free and fair general elections in 2023, The Nation reports

The president said that whoever intends to succeed him must work hard and merit the victory that will lead him or her to the enviable office.

Yes, even if thousand dies in the election process it will still be counted as free and fair, only the lossing party will protest it wasn't free and fair.

This is still Nigeria.
