Celebrated American-Senegalese star, Akon, has announced the finalization of the agreement to build his own city in Senegal

The one of a kind city dubbed Akon City or Wakanda is expected to run on renewable energy

The star took to his social media account to express joy after signing his final agreement

"Just finalized the agreement for Akon City in Sengal. Looking forward to hosting you there in future," he wrote

News about the city with unique features was first announced in December 2019

The city is set to be built on a 2000-acre land space which was given to the music star by the president of Senegal

The project is expected to be completed in a period of 10 years with first stage set to be achieved by the year 2025
