According to the Premium Times, the former Nigerian International Austin Okocha has deliberately failed to appear before the Lagos State High Court to answer allegations on why he failed to pay his income taxes.

Judge Adedayo Akintoye issued the warrant for the arrest of the former Bolton Wanderers skipper on January 29, and thereafter adjourned until February 19

But the prosecution has not effected the arrest on the stipulated February 19, and Akintoye adjourned again until April 15, before ordering that the warrant be executed

The ex-Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is facing a three-count charge instituted by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice bordering on failure to furnish his income returns and non-payment of tax
