Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has insisted the club's decision to fire Jose Mourinho, was entirely down to results and not player power
Mourinho was fired in December after a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool
"What were the issues? We were not winning.
"That's why they decided to change the head coach.
"The results matter the most. If we were winning, we will have good results and the head coach would have remained at his position. That's all," Pogba told news conference, ahead of Friday Euro 2020 qualifier against Moldova.
However, Mourinho failure to get the best out of World Cup winning Pogba, was often cited as a factor in the Red Devils' poor form.
Interim boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has since revitalised United, with Pogba playing a starring role, scoring eight Premier League goals under Norwegian.
