Premier League giants Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as club manager on permanent capacity in a three-year deal

Solskjaer has been manager on interim basis replacing Jose Mourinho who was sacked in Dec 2018

Since returning to Old Trafford, Solskjaer has won 14 of his 19 games in charge, losing just three

He has led the Red Devils to within two points of the top four and the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they will face Barcelona

Manchester United on their official Twitter handle made the announcement said, "Ole's at the wheel! We can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as #MUFC manager"

Solskjaer said: "From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club. It was an honor to be a Manchester United player and then to start my coaching career here"
