A former Nigeria education minister and education minister and solid minerals, Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili has been announced as Forbes Woman Africa social influencer.
Ezekwesili, an anti-corruption activist and former presidential candidate, was honoured at the prestigious Forbes Woman Africa Awards inauguaral gala dinner held this March in Durban, South Africa.
A former vice-president for Africa of the World Bank and co-founder of Transparency International, the award celebrates Ezekwesili's efforts in lauching the viral #BringBackOurGirls campaign on social media
The Forbes Woman awards event recognised a selection of Africa's most influencial women in business, sports, science, entertainment and leadership, including Nigerian-born Uche Pedro who won Forbes Woman African new media award.
