The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has ruled in favour of Osun state governor Gboyega Oyetola, in the Osun 2018 governorship election case
The election tribunal judgment had earlier ruled in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke winner
Oyetola, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral (INEC) had filled substantive appeals, seeking the setting aside of the decision of the tribunal
Adeleke had also filed a cross-appeal, challenging a portion of the decision
The lead judgment was read by Justice Jummai Hannatu Sankey
There was also a dissenting judgment from one of the judges on the panel, but majority favoured Oyetola
