TheUS Embassy in Nigeria praised Abubakar when it awarded Abubakar the Nigerian Star, "in recognition of achievement and service to Nigeria and Nigerians"
"84 year-old Imam Abdullahi Abubakar, a peace-builder who together with his deputy saved over 300 lives of his Christain neighbors on June 23, 2018 by putting faith into action at Nghar Village, Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau," the mission wrote on Twitter
