The federal government has on Monday, May 20, declared Wednesday, May 29 and June 12, as public holidays to mark the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari and Democracy Day respectively

This was disclosed by Nigeria's Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed in a press conference ahead of the inauguration of the second term in office of President Muhammadu Buhari

Going further, Lai Mohammed said people who desire to be invited to the presidential inauguration will be invited to Democracy Day

"All those who want to be invited for the #PresidentialInauguration will be invited for the June 12 Democracy Day," Voice of Nigeria reported

So the public holiday for May 29 will only be on inauguaration day
