Former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has broken silence to congratulate his challenger Andy Ruiz Jr.
The 28-year-old, who has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in his professional boxing career was stunned by the Mexican on June 1.
Prior to this first staged at the Madison Square Garden in New York, Joshua had gone undefeated in his last 22 fights - winning 21 of the bouts by knockout.
However, the British fighter of Nigeria descent was handed the most shocking defeat of his career so far after going down on the canvass about four times before the seventh round.
Ruiz on the other hand stretched his knockout tallies to 22 after being crowned the all three IBF, WBO and WBA belts in one night.
"This is Andy's night, congratulations Champ." the Briton tweeted after the match.
