The federal government move to declare the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) a terrorist group and the ban placed on the sect have been protested seriously by its members known as shiites
Abdullahi Musa, the spokesman of the academic forum of IMN, reacting to the federal government's position, said that the sect practices nothing but religion, Daily Trust reports.
Musa said: "We practice religion; it is Islamic we practice and nobody will ban us from praying under the law.
"Does it mean we cannot do all the activities of the sect? Nobody has any right to ban any religion in Nigeria except they want to create another problem in Nigeria"
