A 17-year-old, Lindsey Smith, has surprised the world as she invested her resources into helping hundreds of people affected by Hurricane Dorian in Bahamas.
The mother, Lynell Smith, said that when she got to know that the disaster created a wide gap for the need for shoes, she said she would gladly help. It was gathered that her humanity service was very much influenced by her background and training in Girl Scout.
To make the shoes available to the disaster's victims, she went to neighbours, families, church members, friends and school mates, begging that they donate towards the cause.
With the $100 coupon she received from the shoe-store and her savings from her summer job, she was able to get 130 pairs of new shoes.
